Linux Basics for Hackers (by OccupyTheWeb) was my personal gateway into the world of Linux. Even though its primary focus is on navigating Kali Linux and understanding the basics of penetration testing and hacking concepts, it offers valuable knowledge for beginners who want to learn how to manage their Linux systems through the CLI (command line interface).
What works best for me when going through any technical book with new concepts is writing down simple study notes and things I want to memorize. Whenever I return to the book to read a new chapter, I start by skimming through all the notes I’ve already taken before adding anything new.
I’ve decided to share my study notes as a reference or a sort of cheat sheet for those who have already read Linux Basics for Hackers, are currently going through it, or anyone else who might find them useful. You can find the notes here in PDF format.
